Thank you for choosing Discovery Sports Coaching Active Camps as your provider this school holiday! Our team is excited to welcome your child for an enriching and enjoyable experience. To ensure your experience is smooth and stress-free, we have prepared this comprehensive guide for you.

About Discovery Sports Coaching (DSC):

Discovery Sports Coaching specialises in providing Physical Education, School Sport, and Physical Active Learning programmes in the wider community. Our commitment extends beyond term time to offer high-quality, affordable, flexible, and safe sport and physical activity childcare solutions.

Registration Process:

The registration area at each Camp venue is clearly signposted (venue details provided at the end of this guide). Drop-off is from 8:45 am with various activities available during this time. The camp officially starts at 9.15 am. Our camp coordinator will assist with sign-in using our online portal. If someone else is collecting your child, please inform the coordinator.

If you need to collect your child before the expected sign-out time, please notify the coordinator. A team member will guide your child on where to leave personal belongings after signing in.

What to Bring:

  • Refillable water bottle (water is available on-site)
  • Packed lunch (nut-free) * Please note if you are booked onto our HAF camps then all food is provided. Unless you have informed us that you will be providing your own food.
  • Healthy snacks for breaks
  • Sunscreen for outdoor activities
  • Extra set of clothing

What NOT to Bring:

  • Nuts or items containing nuts
  • Electronic devices (phones, tablets, etc.)
  • Personal valuables (toys, watches, jewelry)
  • Sports equipment (provided by us)
  • Energy drinks and unhealthy snacks

What to Wear:

  • Loose, comfortable clothing
  • Proper footwear (indoor & outdoor) suitable for physical activities and weather conditions – No Crocs, open toe sandals or sliders

Medical Conditions:

Inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions during the booking process or update your account. If your child requires medication, notify the camp coordinator upon arrival. All medical information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality.

Accidents/Illness:

Our camp coordinators are trained first aiders. Minor accidents will be handled on-site and recorded in the accident book. In the case of a serious incident or illness, you will be contacted immediately.

Late Collection:

If you are running late, contact the Camp coordinator using the number provided on the day or the emergency number set out below.

Behavioural Expectations:

  • Positive behaviour is encouraged and rewarded.
  • Inappropriate behaviour is addressed firmly and fairly.
  • Any persistent issues will be communicated to parents, and we reserve the right to cancel/refund future bookings if necessary.
  • All disclosures will be handled with the strictest confidence.

Where to Register Tower Road Academy – As you drive down Ashlawn Drive please use the second car park on the bend past the main reception, staff will be on site to sign in at the sports hall.

St Norbert’s – Please use parking spaces available as to not block the entrance, staff will be on the green gates to the left of the building to welcome and sign in happens at the doors to hall on the playground.
